Sign a PDF

This places a visible signature on a page. It is the electronic equivalent of signing a printed copy, and suits everyday approvals; where a signature must be cryptographically provable, use Sign with Certificate instead.

How to Sign a PDF

  1. Upload the PDF.
  2. Draw, type or upload your signature.
  3. Place it where it belongs, then download the signed file.

When you would use this

  • Approving a purchase order without printing it.
  • Signing an engagement letter and returning it the same day.
  • Initialling each page of an agreement.

Questions

Is a drawn signature legally valid?

In many jurisdictions a simple electronic signature is valid for ordinary business documents, but requirements vary and some documents need a certificate-based signature. Check what applies to yours.

What is the difference from a certificate signature?

A drawn signature is a picture of your name. A certificate signature is cryptographically bound to the document and reveals any later change.

Can I reuse a signature?

Yes. Save the image and upload it whenever you need it.

Need this at scale?
